Mixing or displacement ventilation

Mixing ventilation systems work with air outlets (mushroom valves) that are usually installed in the ceiling of the room or at ceiling height. The incoming air is mixed as well as possible with the air in the room. The advantages of the mixing ventilation are easier installation, greater freedom with regard to interior decoration and equally good air quality in all places.

Displacement ventilation systems work with air inlets (cover grids) that are installed in the bottom area of the room, wall or floor. The unnoticeably cooler air spreads like a lake on the floor, heats up and rises upwards, where it is extracted. This version is particularly suited for draft-free ventilation of homes, due to the low air speeds. The exhaust air outlets are located in the ceiling or at ceiling height.
